"OK Google, send Manuel $25 for pizza”
You can easily send money from your contacts for free using the Assistant on Android and iOS phones in the U.S. You can also send money on voice-activated speakers like Google Home.
Overview
In a continuing effort of our P2P syndication strategy, we extended Google Pay services to the Google Assistant. Our new UX enables users to use their voice to send money to friends or family using a Google Home device, or the Google Assistant on their mobile device.
This project presented new and unique challenges never attempted at Google. To accomplish our goal, I worked closely with our Content UX Writer, and cross PA with the Comms and OPA teams to define new design patterns and set the standard in P2P transactions in an assistive environment. A successful live demo was presented by our Product Management Director at Google I/O on 5/17/17.
